Lars Lundgren stuntman
Birthday of FSWL supporter and friend Lars Lundgren, the Swedish stuntman who worked closely with Timothy Dalton on Licence to Kill (1989) during the filming in Mexico. For several years, Lars was one of David Carradine's closest collaborators.

With this page, From Sweden with Love would like to celebrate Lars and thank him again for attending our James Bond festival in Stockholm in September 2014.

About stuntman and stunt coordinator Lars Lundgren

Lars Lundgren, sometimes credited as Lasse Lundgren, was born in Solna 1945 and is currently Chief Instructor (Stunt Coordinator) for the Swedish-American Stunt School who educates stuntmen, stunt girls and actress in the stunt and action skills for film and theatre. Lars has more than 40 years experience in the profession, including 24 years in Hollywood.

Lars has participated in more than 70 different productions. The highlights of his career are Licence to Kill with Timothy Dalton and Total Recall (1990) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

For several years, he worked closely with David Carradine (1936–2009) whom FSWL was fortunate to meet up with in Birmingham 2007.

In 1992, Lars Lundgren was inducted into the Hollywood Stuntmen's Hall Of Fame. Lars is the only Swedish stuntman inducted in the Hall of Fame. (FSWL editor Anders Frejdh is on the Board Of Advisors since 2011.)

For the October 2014 issue of Hemmabio, Scandinavia's biggest home theatre magazine, Thomas Nilsson did an interview with Lars Lundgren for a big article in the magazine.

In the beginning of 2015, Lars set up a production company in England, Action Films Ltd, together with Björn Hellquist and legendary stuntman/stunt coordinator/director Paul Weston. (Paul was the stunt coordinator on Licence to Kill.)

Editor's note:
The Swedish-American Stunt School has its own film production facility. Shooting of their first film is completed and pre-production completed. The movie Sektor 236 - Tors vrede had its Swedish premiere in 2010 and is a thriller with lot of action sequences. The casting was done on their stage school. Photographer of the film was Micke Thornfors. An English version of the film is also completed. Check out the trailer on You Tube.
