Skyfall oscar nominations 2013
For the 85th Academy Awards, Skyfall (2012) got 5 Oscar nominations, which in itself was amazing. From the nominations, the film won 2 Academy Awards and FSWL is obviously most proud for the one going to fellow Swede, Per Hallberg, now a three-time Academy Award winner.

Per Hallberg, along with Karen Baker Landers, won for Best Sound Editing for their work on Skyfall. As expected, Adele won the Academy Award for Best Original Song with "Skyfall".

The Oscar nominations for SKYFALL are:
• Cinematography: Roger Deakins (Life of Pi won the award)
• Original Score: Thomas Newman (Life of Pi won the award)
• Original Song: "Skyfall" (music and lyrics by Adele Adkins and Paul Epworth) - WINNER!
• Sound Editing: Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers - WINNER!
• Sound Mixing: Scott Millan, Greg P. Russell, & Stuart Wilson (Les Misérables won the award)

*We will talk to Per after the awards as he has kindly agreed to take time for an interview with us.

Editor's note:
Bond film producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson along with Naomie Harris (the "new" Moneypenny in Skyfall (2012)) attended the show with Halle Berry as presenter. Casino Royale baddie ("Le Chiffre") Mads Mikkelsen also attended the show (for A Royal Affair).
