Description:
The course aims to study the action movie genre and the genre's development based on concrete examples, mainly from the James Bond films. These films and this character represents the unifying theme of the course.

To create an overall idea of the genre's development and sources of inspiration and its impact on other media and genres, a study of other movies within and outside the action genre and other media of relevance is included.

• Genus theory and the structuralism of an action film
• Methods for film analysis
• The historical background and influence for action films
• Adaptation of novel into film
• Actors and actresses, characters and genus

Language:
Teaching is in Swedish. However, instructions will be given in English if it is deemed necessary.

Selection:
Grades (40%), University test (40%), Academic points (20%)

Special skills:
Only basic qualification (or equivalent).
