ABOUT ANDERS FREJDH, PROPRIETOR AND EDITOR:
• Born in 1974. Swedish expert on James Bond and Ian Fleming with one of the largest collections of 007 memorabilia in the world. Bond scholar since 1985 having seen The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) on VHS, Editor of FSWL since 2004.
• Academic degrees in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from University of Skövde. In 2005/2006 he contributed to the first university course around the 007 phenomenon, Progress of the Action Film: James Bond.
• Has lived and studied in London, currently living and working as Financial Controller within the media industry in Stockholm.
• Promoted more than 1,100 James Bond and Ian Fleming related events around the world thru the From Sweden With Love website, and has attended numerous Bond events in both Europe and North America, some examples can be found further down this page.
• Contributing writer for several international James Bond magazines incl. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Collecting 007. Anders has also written several exclusive articles for Roger Moore’s official website.
• Consulted for various James Bond projects incl. Swedish TV shows (for example Welcome to Sweden with Richard Kiel) and English books such as The History of the Illustrated 007 by Alan J. Porter, On The Tracks of 007 by Martijn Mulder (Anders is something of an expert on film locations after visiting a large number of these, see list below for some examples) and The Music of James Bond by Jon Burlingame.
• Helped Ian Fleming Foundation obtain one of the 1969 Cougar XR-7 2DR Convertible cars used in the filming of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
Since January 2011, the car is part of the James Bond vehicle exhibition at Beaulieu Motor Museum. Since 2008, Anders has been over in Chicago and attended IFF's work weekends preserving their 33 vehicles from the James Bond films.
• Have been interviewed as James Bond enthusiast for American and Swedish television. As an expert in Austrian, British (for example The Times),
Canadian (Le Soleil och Journal de Québec) and Swedish newspapers. Plus, several appearances on
Swedish National radio.
• Guest liaison to celebrity guests at British collector and memorabilia shows.
• James Bond lecturer (Feel free to make a request if interested.)
• Responsible for Cloetta-Fazer’s blog during their Casino Royale (2006) DVD campaign in Scandinavia 2007. (Anders was the first Swede to see and review the film as he attended a press screening in London with Michael G. Wilson in attendance. Read his spoiler-free review here.)
